I am a bad blogger!

I have totally been neglecting this blog for a week now...just no motivation, and I am totally stumped on the theme for the week. So instead I will post a couple from a trip to the strawberry patch last week with my mom's group.

Hopefully soon I will come out of my funk!

Two Emotions....One Photo!

Around his first birthday I weaned Christian from the breast to bottle, and he loves his bottles a lot more than I ever thought that he would. I snapped this today while he was lying in my bed with his bottle. He was enjoying it so much that I almost felt jealous.

So my emotions for the day is BLISS for Christian...and Sadness for me!

A couple from today!

Today I learned that Christian did not like the feel of the grass on his bare feet, and that if I put him in the grass I could take his picture without trying to shoot a moving target!

If we dig deep on our intepretation we could say that this is on theme because he certainly looks happy, and that is an emotion!

Yesterday I dressed Christian up in the 1st birthday vest (all three boys have worn that little yellow vest on their first birthday) and re-introduced him to his cake.

Its funny that as much as he likes to eat, he was not into the cake. These were taken with him sitting on top of the island in my kitchen.

Ferris Wheel

This week's theme is the sun (sunlight, sunset, sunrise), so I decided to use an old photo just so I could be on theme at least once this week!

This photo was taken at the county fair a few months ago. As we were leaving I turned around and this was what I saw. The light was so beautiful!

My sweet boy is ONE!!!!

Happy Birthday Christian!!!!

My sweet little boy is one years old today...oh how the time flies!

In this picture he is 5 months old, just learning to sit up by himself. The expression on his face is so typical of him...right before he breaks into his sweet yet mischievous grin. Oh I love this little guy!

Stay tuned tomorrow...there *should* be some cake pics!!!!!

Converted this one to b and w because the color version had a serious color cast that I just couldn't get rid of. I'd love to hear how you guys correct color casts. TFL

Ode Christian part 2

This was the day that my favorite birthday boy learned to crawl. I stayed on the floor with him taking pictures of him trying to figure it all out.

It's the only pictures I have of him crawling because within one month he figured that crawling was too slow, and he started walking.

Ode to Christian

Dear Lord, where does the time go? In only 5 days my baby will be ONE! And since I celebrate my own birthday for a full week, I will start celebrating here as well by posting my favorite photos that I have taken of Christian, during his first year.
